Selfless Driver Prevented Accident on Golden Gate Bridge

It’s rare you see a story like this. I hope that I can think as quick as this guy if I’m ever in a similar situation!
Did the insurance company cover any damage to his truck?
I am not betting on it. They really should. Let’s make a big stink about it until they do.
There really needs to be some sort of hero clause in insurance claims that allow people to make these quick decisions without worry of financial burden.
